GREECE AND INDIA—The Young East (Tokyo)

It is an undisputed historical fact that Greek philosophy received great influence from Indian philosophy. In fact the Gnostic form of Christianity is based on Greek philosophy, especially on philosophy introduced from India.

On the other hand, it was from Greece that ancient India learned how to make idols. Until India came in contact with Greece, she had no idols, and it was only after Greek sculptors taught Indians that idols began to be produced in India.
